DESCRIPTION:Killer Queen – A Tribute to Queen appears at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton\, WI on march 17 at 8PM! \nKiller Queen formed back in June 1993. Their first public shows were at London University\, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there 21 years earlier. \nBy 1995\, Killer Queen’s UK popularity had grown to such an extent they secured a residency in London’s Strand Theatre attracting nationwide BBC coverage – the first tribute to have a show in the West End. The band’s reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad. In 1999\, they returned from a tour of Europe and Russia for an awards ceremony in Leicester Square\, hosted by Suggs from Madness. He announced they had won the award for “Worldwide Best Tribute Band”. \nKiller Queen toured into their second decade\, and the audiences grew. In 2005\, they played Ahoy Stadium\, where the reformed Queen would be performing only a few months later. In 2009\, Killer Queen made a triumphant return to a sold out Ahoy stadium with their acclaimed “Queen Spectacular” production and another award\, this time from Sweden’s Västerås’ concert hall “Best Concert of The Year 2009”. The year 2013 saw them performing in another one of Queen’s former venues: the Brighton Centre\, celebrating their 20th Anniversary. \nIn 2016\, Killer Queen set their sights on America\, including the awe-inspiring Red Rocks Arena in Colorado – one of the country’s most prestigious venues. DESCRIPTION:Chart-topping a cappella group Straight No Chaser will celebrate their 25th anniversary on November 2 at 7:30PM to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton\, WI! \n  \nFormed during the 1996-1997 school year at Indiana University\, a cappella group Straight No Chaser – which began\, according to group member Steve Morgan as a “way to meet girls” – eventually emerged at the forefront of the modern day a cappella movement\, and has since sold more than three million albums worldwide\, garnered more than a billion streams\, and sold more than 1.5 million concert tickets worldwide. \n  \n“When we started Straight No Chaser as college kids at Indiana University\, we never imagined that 25 years later\, we’d have two albums certified gold and tour dates around the world\,” said group member Walter Chase.  “What a ride it has been.  It has literally been a dream come true.” \n  \nThis fall\, the group will kick off their “The 25th Anniversary Celebration” tour on October 20th in Deadwood\, South Dakota\, and will perform through New Year’s Eve\, where the tour wraps up in Portland\, OR. In total\, this fall the group will perform 62 shows.  Tickets for most dates go on-sale this Friday\, May 6th. A full itinerary is below. \n  \nIn commemoration of “The 25th Anniversary Celebration\,” Straight No Chaser will release an exclusive NFT to mark the occasion.  All details will be revealed in the coming days on Straight No Chaser’s site and social platforms (all links are below). \n  \nAdditionally\, PBS stations nationwide will air “Straight No Chaser: The 25th Anniversary Celebration\,” starting this June.  The concert\, filmed at the Murat Theatre at Old National Center in Indianapolis in 2019 where the group has sold out 27 shows\, features the nine group members performing classics like “Proud Mary\,” “Lean on Me” and “Twistin\,’” as well as pop mash-ups\, like “Uptown Funk/Thriller.” \n  \nEarlier this year\, Straight No Chaser\, known for their soundtrack to the holidays\, released a book of cocktail and food recipes\, sharing their family traditions with their fans.
